I got a 1985 z28 for Christmas this year!!! YAY but I need some help... my interior is faded and I am trying to find Red Velour. The whole interior is red and I have contacted Hawks thirdgen, they dont have it and are trying to convince me to go black on the side of the doors and sides of the seats with the (camaro camaro) middle, but I really like the red. This car only has 30,000 orginal miles.... its MINT and I want to keep it as close to original as possible.
Any help would be great!

Check out this thread i made about those interiors a few years back. The first page gives you some info about them as well as sources to buy the fabric from. Hope this helps. Also...your smart in keeping the red. That is an unusual interior and a stand-out at shows.

Lucky...looks like a stupid nice car other than the faded interior and likely dry-rotted tires (since they haven't made Eagle ST's in about 20 years).

LOL sory couldn't resist , seriously the cars awsome! get it out of the snow . and buy a $700 front wheel drive honda for the winters. good luck with the seats . I'm going thru the same thing . I think its going to an upolstry shop so I can get exactly what I want. did I mention your cars awsome? by the way nice car! Ask your parents if they want to adopt a son.

Hmm the only thing i can think of is the interior code color that GM gave it which is FRR9. The red was an 85 only color. 83 and 84 had more of a orangy red with black carpeting. It will def be sharp when you get someone to redo the seats.

Hey zed girl check out jersey 89s site ! thats the way I'm going I just shot her an e-mail about having all the seats recovered in cloth , and a head liner , she seems to do high quality work , just waiting on a rough price from her ,hope Jersey was telling the truth about his $770 price tag , after I get a response . I'll pm you . I'm thinking cloth may drop the price a bit. just kidding about the bow ... not kidding about the adoption LOL.. I'll eat all my vegies and promise to clean my room !!!!!!

 

$770 was for Ultra leather seatc covers, shipped to me- all four seats, sun visors, and ttop shades. I install.

jerseys post is no bs I called lethal interiors today and spoke to Princess she's the real deal. if you want a quality job ,she's the one to go to . we had a lengthy discussion about quality and how many interior shops just dont care . she takes pride in her work, I can tell by talking to her. Thanks for all the help ... I have contacted a few places and Im keeping my fingers crossed! ... Oh and one more thing my car was only in the snow Christmas morning for the full effect of the gift ... now safe in a shop from the elements!

 

LOL ...Im not suprised about the tires being that old this car was actually in a time capsule. Sat in someones garage for the last 20+ years except when it came out for a sunday drive ... Lucky me, Its practically new. It still has factory hoses and clips. Will post more pics soon!

Yes I have contacted them, she is looking for the red valour ... she said she has a few places to check out then we will talk prices ... so I hope she can find it.
