How on earth do I remove this peice?

I've been trying to remove the whole rear quarter panel plastic trim with the cargo box but there's that black metal thing that the rear seat clamps onto that is getting in the way. I've tried unscrewing it but it won't budge at all, anyone know how to remove it?

Use the appropriate size torx bit, I used one for a 3/8" socket set and use a small breaker bar if it is stuck but be careful not to break it.

Yeah, it's a TORX bolt. It may be the same size as the bolts for the front seatbelt receivers, which is a T40 That I recently had to removed on my car. It may take some force to break it loose, make sure the TORX bit seated firmly in the bolt head. I had to tap the bit in lightly with a hammer to get it firmly seated in the bolt so it wouldn't strip out.

I would recommend this as well. If you round off a torx bolt this big, there's no getting it out. I would also recommend using a very long ratchet or breaker bar. The factory torques these to 150 ft lbs or something ridiculous.

IIRC, the front (and rear) seatbelts are a T47...T40 would be for the intake/serpentine setup bolts on a TPI car. I would guess this rear seatback mount to be a T47 also.
