I was referring to the cover you can pull open so you cant see what's in the cargo/trunk area.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing today? Water bottle with salt, water and black dye.

I just redyed my steering wheel, cave man stuff, go for it.
I have a spare cover thats so faded its now purple, I am going to dye it and see what happens.
I've heard of guys spray painting them too with vinyl paint.

Re: Re-dye rear cargo cover
There are a couple on E-bay that the seller states are re-dyed, look pretty nice, evidently doable.

Re: Re-dye rear cargo cover
Anyone else have any ways of doing this with results? Just dont want to try it and not have it work correctly. Not looking to buy another shade. Photos would be nice of the after product.

Re: Re-dye rear cargo cover
I need to re-do mine. My guess is that paint may make it too stiff.
I was going to try black Fabric dye, since mine looks purple now.
Plus I'm tinting the back window to hold down on the sun fading in the car.

Re: Re-dye rear cargo cover
Try a vinyl/leather dye, fabric dye made to soak in and color, may not cover well as a vinyl/leath dye. 2 cents.
