digital cluster installation

ok im basically asking this to the guys who have this cluster in their dash last week i pulled my original unit out to replace some bulbs and long story short as i was putting it back in i damaged it and no longer gave me oil/temp/alt i ordered a replacement cluster and was trying to figure out how to put it in without damaging the new one. my buddy told me i should drop the column a little to allow more clearance (i have tilt and its pretty tight trying to work it in) would this work? how do i do this? or does anybody have any other suggestions to try? i do know its oddly shaped and pretty hard to get in there. thanks in advance guys

Re: digital cluster installation

2 bolts about mid column (underneath) will allow you to drop a little or will put your steering wheel on the seat depending on how much you loosen them

Take the dash pad off also, then you'll have plenty of room.

You really don't need to touch the steering column, just tilt it down!!!
