Procar Sportsman Pro Series racing seats ?
I did a search and found allot of information but nothing specific to my concerns ,besides these are a new style added to the sportsman line and I would like to hear what you think . Pro car web site = http://procarbyscat.com/seat/80-1615-51r
Summit Racing =http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sca-80-1615-51
One of my main concerns is how much taller will the seat be using the direct fit brackets ?
When I drive the steering wheel is pretty close already.
Any and all opinions concerning the seats welcome.

Come on guys, these seats will cost me $273.90 each including the mounting bracket and between $60.00 to $80.00 depending on box size to send them back if they don't work out.
Some one must have some history dealing with Procar seats .

Nice looking seat!
I don't know anything about seats so please forgive my ignorance--
Articwhitez (?) made his own rails brackets & spacers.
Or maybe it was brackets & spacers..?..
IIRC for Carbeau seats
Sorry to mud your thread ron! Wish I had something to help!..

Re: Procar Sportsman Pro Series racing seats ?
My son has Procar seats in his 84 TA. The seats are considerably wider than the originals. We were on the verge of sending them back because the recline lever and the seat belt retractor were trying to exist in the same place. I hit on the idea of swapping the left and right seats. This moved the lever to the inside and solved the fit issue.
We cut down the mounts to get the seats as low as possible.
He likes the seats a lot. I would have recovered the factory seats. But... his call.

Re: Procar Sportsman Pro Series racing seats ?
I have the ProCar seats and they are a good seat, they hold you well. I am not crazy about them in these cars though. I am 6'1" and my head almost touches the glass t-top. I had to remove the brackets AND sliders from the seats and use just a flat piece of steel as a kind of adapter plate, lowered me 1-2". The width is wider and they do rub on the center console and door handle/armrest. Again, good seats and good price but be willing to work on them and accept them being as wide as possible.

Re: Procar Sportsman Pro Series racing seats ?
A follow up on my quest for new seats = The racing style bolsters are to high for mom to get in. I cant have that. Ive decided to hold out for a pair of high back Forth gen. seats.
Its a shame because I really liked those.
