3rd gen sill plates

Hello all,
I would like to know if anyone has come out with a billet sill plate for 3rd gens? I need to replace mine, but having trouble finding new after market ones. What are people doing as a replacement option?
Thanks

Oscar

Re: 3rd gen sill plates

I haven't seen any aftermarket sill plates myself. It would be nice if they made them though. I'm in the middle of a interior conversion myself, and the best bet is to find a good used set that isn't cracked or scratched up and get those.

Re: 3rd gen sill plates

Only thing that I have seen is where people have custom made an insert for their exsisting sill plate. Ones I have seen is where people ground down the honeycomb insert and logo, and installed a stainless or (some other thin metal) into the recess.

Re: 3rd gen sill plates

I am needing both sides in dark blue. I think I will try and make something up. Maybe with aluminum or fiberglass. I was hoping someone would have made up an aluminum piece. I would give 100 buck for something solid for each side.

Thank you all for replies,

Oscar

There is a guy at www.ccfbg.com

Username is coorslight1. He makes stainless steel custom sill plates to replace the factory plastic ones.

They come plain so you can add graphics or find someone to etch "CAMARO" or "IROC-Z" on them.
