Custom LED map light
Just finished the cover for the LED maplight that I put in with a PVC headliner. I'm so stoked about how well it turned out that I decided to make it my first post! lol

Re: Custom LED map light
Thanks!
Here ya go (Sorry but I forgot to take any during the process):
It's not from anything, I just had to cut the PVC headliner on the t-top section to get the right fit, which is a common issue from what I've seen? So I cut out a chunk and used led strips to make a new light.
Yeah man I agree, I had wanted to do an LED overhead light anyway, and rather than try to salvage the old UV faded dome light I just figured I'd go for a more modern look.
The LED strips were just a $10 cuttable strip from dealextreme that I epoxied to the T-top crossbar where the old light socket used to sit. The cover is just a piece of plexiglass that I formed to the shape of the headliner using a heatgun, then bead blasted with a camaro logo stencil that I made on a plotter.
You can kinda see it in the pics, but the PVC headliner still sits kinda funny, with the front and the back both sloping into the center. The PVC as a headliner has a nice look but there's got to be a better way to attach it to the ceiling, it sags way too much and heavy duty velcro isn't really cutting it. I've got a couple ideas I want to try, but has anyone else found a better way to hold these things tight to the top of the car?

(You can kinda see what I mean about the headliner fit being off in the first shot)
