What are These Two Lights For?
So the other day while I was wiping down the dash, I noticed that yellow light (if that is even what it is). Does everyone have it? My Camaro is a 91 RS.
Also what about the red light, once again I'm not sure if that is even a light.
I'm not sure if they're lights, because I've never seen them flash before. They can't be shift lights because I have an automatic.

For the one under the center A/C vents, some say ash tray light others to help light up the usual dim HVAC controls.

not sure what the red one is, but the yellow one in my car, seems to be for lighting the ash tray (there is a tiny bulb under the dash pad for it) but it seems to be blocked by my jvc head unit

The red one looks like for an aftermarket alarm system.

That tiny yellow light is for ash tray/HVAC controls?? That would've never crossed my mind considering it is all the way up there and so small. Thanks guys.
So if it is an aftermarket security system, what would've been there stock? Nothing?

I have both of those. And I had no idea that one under the vents was a light! so thank you. The red one has never lit up for me, but I know the p.o. put an alarm on the car and disabled it so I would guess that

I took mine out (the yellow one) so I could mount a switch to power on my cooling fan. For some reason my fan doesn't kick in when the A/C is running so I have to manually switch it on. The red one is definitely an alarm LED.
