I'm looking for 4th gen Firebird cloth seats, to match my 89 Formula. Did 4th gen seats come in black ?

 

Got a set of black seats out of a '95 Firebird for my '84, very nice!

 

Did you use your old tracks ?

 

No, the 4th gen's are a direct replacement, just drop in.

 

If your short then use the 3rd gen tracks. They will lift the 4th gen seats a bit for better visibility out. I'm 6'5" & always switch to 4th gen seats in my 3rd gens.

 

What kind of manual tracks did you get? Do they tilt back and forth like the 89 Formula tracks ?

 

The stock manual 4th gen tacks are just like the 3rd gen manual tracks except they are shorter. Direct swap.

 

More head room ?? Cool !!!!!! Very important with a helmet on. The 3rd gen manual tilt tracks were in 1989. Formula's and Trans Am's had them. I'm not sure what other years had tilt tracks. There are 2 levers on the track. The tilt mechanism is pretty cool.
