for you problem solvers....

Ill make this short; '87 Z28, column issue. wheels straight and factory steer wheel straight, turn signal cancellation short to left, long on right.

Then I try to install grant wheel. wheels straight, grant wheel crooked, turn signal cancellation normal.

Both scenarios the horn tube lines up.

I you have any solid diagnosis, please help.

Put the old wheel back on and set to your first description. The remove steering shaft from steering box, turn till the steering wheel is straight and reattach. Then swap to the grant wheel. That should fix it.

Re: for you problem solvers....

The grant wheel adapters usually have 2 positions they can be installed in, atleast mine did. I put it on the wrong position the first try, the horn button and everything lined up, but the wheel was crooked.

robsryd - Yes, that's when you recenter the steering shaft on the steering box. Your old wheel is actually on crooked. Noormally you would then remove the old wheel, turn it to where it is straight, and then put it back on. Your whel is then straight, and your turn signals are centered again. Its a common problem after an alignment issue has been corrected.

travis401 - I don't remember my Grant wheel adapter having more than one hole for the horn button.
