4th gen door panels *pics/videos*

Okay so some may know my build going lsx and using the dash guages console etc(build thread in the sig) didnt want the stock door panels or gta panels not flowing with the lines of the dash now let me stop ya there I know your thinking another hack job, your going have gaps, selective shots, just dont do it buy a 4th gen. This isnt a debate or whether you like it or not ive owned my fair share of stock 3rd gens this ones going to be my toy that will never be sold with that being said these panels arent getting just stuck on theyll be getting molded onto the 3rd gen boards. For the guys that have done this any advice is welcome and comments are great so lets get this started!

The panels off a 97-02 camaro(think there the same as 93-96)

The door stripped of the door handle and arm rest bracket(Dont mind the keyless entry)

Backside of door panels tear off the mass backing and all the tabs

Top rear of the panel needs trimmed to have a straight edge like this

Front of panel needs to be cut back

And the main reason they need to be molded

Youll need to shorten the lock rod to the next notch

Heres where im guessing most people stop and leave it at, at this point the door panel doesnt budge and works pretty good and could stay like this, but thats not how im leaving it

I got my electrical windows to work as well(also have auto down and up) door locks will be a little more difficult because I have an after market keyless system and actuators wouldn't happen to be able to get me a pic of the door handle mounted without the door panel on I can't figure out where to mount it do I need to cut the handle rod at all??

Never finished up this thread I figured out the door handle it required me to remove some of the metal in the door and the back side of the bracket of the handle to be bent you can see in this pic also used a plastic hanger clip to hold the lock rod in place all in all it was well worth it having the 4th gen interior
