4th gen door panels - custom fit into 92 camaro
Hi guys
I want to share my door panels project. This project was inspired by Shroom. You can find his posts about customizing his vert in audio forum.
I am using 02 transam door panels but i want them to look and fit "almost perfect". Use window sweep, speaker and I want to cover plastic with vinyl to match rest of the interior.I will post pictures of the center console later.
Here some pics.Will update soon.

Awesome! I approve and thanks for the props!
I still need to finish mine, but it seems a magnacharger install has gotten in the way.
Keep it up!

Do you have any pics of your finished product? Looks great so far. Thinking about doing it myself.

Re: 4th gen door panels - custom fit into 92 camaro
Hi everyone. Thanks for complementing my project. Here is few pictures of finished door panels. Just installed them today. Now I have to get help with wiring switches. I think mirrors and door lock should be easy but windows might be little bit of work.

That looks great. I saw the first couple and pics and was unsure how it would turn out, but great work!

Thanks Kevin!
It was really lot of sending and molding around door but it really fits perfect. Here is few pics of center console. As soon as I figure out how to wire window switches center console will be installed.

Looks awesome! You REALLY wanted some 4th gen door panels didn't you?? They look like they belong there! That had to be a lot of work.

Re: 4th gen door panels - custom fit into 92 camaro
wow...ive been wanting to do this as well but wasnt sure if it would work out too well. this confirms i should try it.
Questions:
what product did you use to mold the part next to the dash?
Did you have to modify the back of the panel for the plastic push ins to line up?
what modifications to the door itself did you have to do?
did you use the 4th gen power mirrors and did they just swap over?
i wish you did a more thorough step by step guide as to what you did, anyway great job man...

Re: 4th gen door panels - custom fit into 92 camaro
Thanks guys. Lots of my friends likes it too including myself. Love them.I will try tomorrow get power window switches to work and install express down modules fordriver and passenger window. Then the center console is going in. Finally! next will be to get all the plastic pices to cover with vinyl and design stitching troughout whole car.
I will post some pictures with center console in when wiring will be done.

Nice work.
Just wondering how you secured the arm rest and handle to the door skin.
Also, how hard was it to modify the door latch and lock slide?

Re: 4th gen door panels - custom fit into 92 camaro
Your interior looks great. I have been thinking about building some firebird panels like yours to go with my dash swap. The fit looks great. The stitching just puts it over the top. very nice.
Also on a side note. I assume your wheels are for a bmw. could you share the backspacing and spacer info.
Thanks,
and again nice work.

How did you mount this on to the door? first few pics looks like the tape was the only thing holding it all together

It's been awhile since any updates have been posted. Did you get the console in? How about some pictures?
