Shifter Handles 3g vs. 4g

Is the 4th gen firebird/TA shifter handle exactly the same as the 85+ shifter handle? They look the same, but wondering if there are any subtle differences between the two. Thanks.

I haven't been able to pick out any differences other than maybe color. The one in my '91 T/A looks exactly the same as all the 4th gen auto T/A's that my co-worker has bought and sold over the years.
