vacuum leak where HVAC harness connects to heater controls
I have an '88 Trans Am that I only drive in the summer. When I started driving it this year, I frequently noticed a vacuum leak noise coming from the dash, and the air from the vents only came out on top of the dash.
I believe the HVAC vacuum hose harness is leaking where it connects to the heater controls. I've seen in other cars where the rubber plug dries out and hardens up, and then it no longer seals correctly. I was thinking about using some RTV caulk to seal it up. Do u guys see any problems w/ that? Any other suggestions?

This was the first mod I performed when I got my car. Works very well!
