Blower motor won't turn on in any position though it works
Hi,
I'm facing an issue I'm not sure where to look at anymore. The heater fan won't work, in any position of the switch. Everything worked before the restoration. Here's the situation :
- I've changed the blower motor to a later style with the single connector
- A/C slider works : radiator fan starts when I switch to any A/C position
- Blower motor works just fine at different speeds when I put a 12V wire from the battery to any of the resistor terminals
- No reaction when changing positions on the dash switch, I've tried with an '89 switch (same thing, different ****), no improvement.
- I've changed the relay with one from a '76 (same connector so I presume it's the same thing), no difference
Where should I look at now ?
Thanks

You may want to make sure that there's power to and from the fuse, if there is, then see if there's power to the blower motor at the plug end when the switch is engaged.
If there isn't then test the switch itself to see if there's power to and from it. You can use a test light or an ohm meter.
