Carbon fiber'd gauge bezel
I always thought the gauge bezel would look good with a 'carbon fiber' treatment, so I gave it a whirl last night. Sheet of 3M Di Noc carbon fiber vinyl; this stuff is awesome. Very firm and rigid at room temperature, but heat it up with a hair dryer or heat gun and it gets very soft and easy to mold and stretch. Corners were tricky, but not as hard as cutting out the turn signal keys afterwards. I think it turned out pretty good! Now I think a set of reverse glow gauges would really compliment it.

Looks good. I did an older one years ago with that stuff. Like you said I used a heat gun to soften and stretch it. I wraped it inside and around the back a little. This way inside the bezel was done.

This was a scrap piece and its still hanging in my garage.
