88 Iroc new headliner

Ok so my car is going to need a new head liner sometime this year and need some feed back on what all of you guys that have already done this have to say about where to get one.

I have done some research and I have found that there are a lot of people that are unhappy with the fit of the abs ones? Are they all like that or is one better than the other? I'm more about the good fit and look, than the money not scared to drop 350 to buy the kit with snails and visors but will be pissed if it does not fit right

School me and help me make the right choice to buy the right kit

Looking at hawks? Are they any good?

Try looking for a local upholstery shop that does headliner work. I did mine local and the cost was less then DIY online junk. Let them worry about fit and finish, it is well worth the money for a factory look.

Don't worry about the liner, the shop will take care of that repair.

I had to wire in a new mirror and when I pulled my dome and my headliner was doubled by the previous owner

Re: 88 Iroc new headliner

Take your headliner down yourself, clean off the old material, and add fiberglass resin to the areas of the backing board that rip or separate. Make the headliner board as smooth as you can on the inside, then take it to an upholstery shop. Some shops will remove the old material and recover with new and the unsmooth board WILL show through.
