New gauges questions
Is there any special I need to know about replacing gauges on a 85 Camaro? There already is an aftermarket tach that I did not install, but my speedo only goes up to 59 mph, so I was just wondering if theres any techniques that would help?

Re: New gauges questions
For some general guidelines read the thread that I started herehttps://www.thirdgen.org/forums/inte...i-made-my.html, another member with a pre-90 Camaro showed how he did his. You probably have a mechanical speedo and a 700R4? If that is correct you should be able to change out the speedo gears in the transmission without too much trouble. https://www.thirdgen.org/speedogear

Re: New gauges questions
Thanks Tibo.
I really like the customization of the Speedhuts. I like their GPS ones, but Idk how well they would work around my area. I barely can get a GPS signal for my navigation on my phone (BFE). Plus, theyre a bit pricey. The lower end ones are really nice as well for the price. I dont really want to tear apart my transmission again
. Is there anyway to calibrate with a new sensor vs the mechanical?

Re: New gauges questions
I have read about converter boxes, it I know nothing about them, or if they even exist.

There are mechanical to electronic converters, like this:

Thanks Beast,
I do believe it's the speedometer gears causing the trouble, the more I've read the more it points to there. Probably wasn't configured after the overhaul.
