What to put in this hole...ideas...

Hello all,

So this past weekend I managed to get a new dome light cover to replace the nonexistent one on the overhead console I've been waiting to install.

It's missing the sunglasses pouch (no big deal, since it doesn't look like anything is supposed to be there anyways). However, short of paying 45-80 bucks for a flashlight, what have people done on here with the flashlight hole?

I was contemplating fabbing up a block or something with a nice decal or badge to slide in there until I get a flashlight (or just leave it w/out the light, either way).

Just thought I'd test the waters and see if anybody did anything unique with theirs.

Thanks

Hit the local wrecking yards and search every car for a similar light. I had a Lincoln mark vii with an overhead console and the flashlight was a perfect fit. Also there was a thread where someone used a garage door opener out of a Cadillac and make it functional to.

No problem and keep us updated on what you find. I didn't like the Lincoln light because there was an embossed logo on it but it could of been sanded off. I've also kind of looked for ideas because I have yet to find the Cadillac garage door opener.
