Spraying interior floor pan options.
The carpet in my car is trashed (see pic below). Alaskan winters are rough and since this car is going to be driven year round - I was thinking about removing all carpet.
My brother-in-law sprayed the interior of his mud truck with under body coating, and it is working well for him. I have not seen his truck recently, so I cant say how good it turned out.
Has anyone done this or thought about doing this?
How much more road noise?
Will it be harder to retain heat in the interior?
My other option is http://www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring-...g/N-5yc1vZb97t
Please ignore my steering wheel (came with the car); next time my buddy comes north he is bringing me his extra.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Spraying interior floor pan options.
Not having done it before I always wondered how the fumes might be when using under body coating or truck liner. I like the idea better than coating the bottom because it would be less likely to trap water in.
The F-Bodys had a couple of different carpets with one having a really thick backing that actually protected the metal underneath. What you have is really dirty but if the fibers are still good (Ie. Not worn through) it might be possible to bring it back more than it might seem. I've even removed the carpet, cleaned it up with a hose & soap and then ran the home version of a floor carpet shampooer to pull the rest of the dirt out.
I'd also like to point out that a lot of the reason for the floors rusting out has to do with bringing salt in with your shoes/boots, so if you could get one of the floor mats that can hold the melted snow/ice in, that might help with that. Don't know if they make them for Camaros but husky Liner and Weather Tech make mats like that with a reservoir for the water to sit.
Might also want to fill the back cargo area with milk jugs full of sand, and also pick your tires wisely.
The interior looks like it's in pretty good shape.

Re: Spraying interior floor pan options.
Me and my wife have been discussing about taking vacation early this year and focusing on the car. That way it will be ready for cruising all summer long.
Finally was able to find a interior floor pan picture and noticed that it would not be perfectly flat. Therefor, knowing this we will try and salvage the carpet first and if it does not come out well, then I will spray the floor and probably go with the rubber floor idea.
Would need to find a way for it to stick and be secure.
