You need a new cover on the wiper motor.

Re: Delay wipers not working?

Sure, all the controls are in the cover,I had a problem with mine the intermittent wasn't working,so I checked the service manual and it says REPLACE COVER.I had the same problem as you did.All you do is take the cover screws off, remove cover and make sure you put the new one back in the same way.Good luck.

And just want to reinforce that you install it correctly, because if you don't. The first time you turn your wipers on, it will break the piece that moves inside there and you're back to looking for a new cover

Re: Delay wipers not working?

Are there no repro covers being made? Junkyard finds only?

Mine are bad but the only way of knowing if the used one is good or not, is to buy it & install it.

Re: Delay wipers not working?

I don't think they are available from GM anymore. Tried a few dealers and they did an inventory search and found none left. Any ideas?

Re: Delay wipers not working?

One thing you can check on yours is make sure the 2 contacts on the cover are touching the contacts on the motor.

I know if are not making contact the delay option will not work. That happened to me, one of the contacts on the cover broke. I had to come up with something to make the connectors touch again.
