I have had zero luck finding a good tilt column from 89 for a 5 speed car, but I know where one is from 88. My car has VATS bypassed on the orange while on the column. Does that mean when the new column comes in I wouldn't have to anything special to make it work since it won't have the orange wire?

Please advise
