Speedo Cluster
I was wondering if anyone has modified or updated there OEM cluster
I have a 91 Camaro and to me its outdated in many ways. I was thinking of pulling the cluster (keeping for resell possibly later on) but was thinking of grabbing some 20 gauge aluminum and mounting Prosport gauges in there for MPH and RPM
Along with other gauges (else where) for monitoring.
I'm coming from imports (not rice status) but monitoring everything is essential with racing and knowing your car. AFR, oil pressure, oil temp, ect...
Just seeing if anyone out there has done such?

Re: Speedo Cluster
I've seen a lot of people build their own gauge clusters.
Your current cluster doesn't have an oil pressure gauge? Maybe the base camaro clusters had less stuff in them in '91, I know the older base models didn't have as many gauges and such.
My Z28 cluster has temp, oil pressure, RPM, speed, fuel and battery. I have a fuel pressure gauge under the hood, wouldn't want to run a fuel line anywhere on the interior. What other gauges would you consider adding?

It does have it... Its just not aesthetically appeasing to the eyes.
Its a 91 RS with a complete drivetrain swap from an IROC, 350 roller Converted to carb. Heads, cams, full exhaust, posi rear, 3.73, I can't remember everything. I'll get a more in detail list from my uncle (since he built it)
I planned on getting prosport for the main cluster, defi gauges for monitor gauges.

Yeah, I like the cowl gauges as well, it's a safe alternative to running live lines across the firewall.
