Dash Question

My dash needs to be re-done and I'm not sure what type of pattern the vinyl is for my 85. Does anyone know what pattern of grain was used.

Thanks

Re: Dash Question

Generally you can't just "redo" the dash; it's made of plastic, and once the plastic starts cracking, there's no turning back. Sure, you can fill the cracks and dye it, but they'll come back along with many others in little time.

Best bet is to get a used dash that has no cracks from the for sale forums here, or just put an aftermarket cap on yours if you're not terribly worried about fit/finish/being correct.

Re: Dash Question

Rip all of the existing material off and fill any holes or low areas with expanding foam from a can and sand it smooth. Then take it to an upholstery shop and have them recover it. That's the easiest and cheapest way to make it look good

Re: Dash Question

Guys I understand what your saying, but I still haven't gotten an answer to my actual question.

Does anyone know what style of grain is used on the vinyl or where I can find that information?
