Seat foam for Optima seats?
Seat foam for Optima seats?
I'm see that the rear seat foam is readily available however no one seems to have the front seat foam for the GTA "Optima" seats.
Specifically I really need the *** portion lol.
Anyone know who makes this? My last option would be having a local installer custom cut some appropriate material I guess...
Thanks!
Alex

Re: Seat foam for Optima seats?
Apparently no one currently cares enough to reproduce much of anything for Ultima seats. Seems like they make correct covers and foam for all the other seats (except Recaros of course).
FWIW, I need foam for mine too. Still can't figure out how someone completely flattens a bolster without wearing a hole through the seat cover. Was planning on just having an upholstery shop stuff some extra foam in there and try to get the shape close.

Thats called Fat Driveritis. I used to own an 86 TA, that I sold. I saw it 2 or 3 years later, and the bolsters were completely flattened. Then I saw the driver and knew why.

Haha, very true!
I got lucky and found a local guy who is willing to do the foam for the rears and the fronts no problem for very little cost over installing the upholstery so I didn't even have to buy the rear foam, saved me allot!

Re: Seat foam for Optima seats?
Alex,
Ask him how much he wants for just the foam for the fronts. My rears are fine and surprisingly, as you saw if you remember, the leather on my fronts is still in pretty good condition.

I'll ask him what a complete front seat foam setup would cost. For me he's only doing the *** on both and the left side bolster on the drivers seat, the rest of mine was fine.
