Headliner work
Picked up a headliner board while on lunch today from a wrecker. Cost me 10 bucks and was in one piece with all of the factory backing if you want to call it that. Was a little rough so I did some resin work on a few spots tonight. Still have some additional spots to work on but figured I would throw up what I've done so far. Will be covering in beechwood as that was the factory headliner color.

Let me know if anybody has any suggestions other than what I'm doing.

Re: Headliner work
Some have resined the entire piece. Some just the top, some just the liner side.
3 things to keep in mind --
1) Resin // fiberglass makes sharp @$$ edges use care so you dont cut yourself.
2) Use care if you resin // 'glass the liner side -- you will need to sand some, & add bondo
to make an even surface to put the liner onto.
Dips & bumps may show if deep enough.
3) If its going to be a few days before install, put it in a safe place!!
I had 2 t-top boards get broke because someone tossed them from a table to the ground.
There are a few threads of resin & 'glass. IDK how to link from my phone, sorry.
Maybe someone will give you more detail & tips.
Wish I could find a savable t-top board for $10!! Lol!!
Good luck...

Re: Headliner work
Thanks t top. In regards the headliner boards t tops are a dime a dozen here at wreckers. It's very hard to find a hardtop one that doesn't have the back seat belt areas completely broken.

Re: Headliner work
Just a thought --
Maybe put resin on both sides of any repair work? Weak areas?
Thats about my limit -- my 2 got broke beyond repair so take it with a grain of salt. ;-)
Dont let my experience scare you. There are plenty of great outcomes!!
Maybe search --
resin
Or
headliner repair
to find the threads with the completed install. They look great & will last many years to come
