Camaro custom gauge pod....

Hey folks, a fews years back I had a 84 Camaro for project and I wanted more gauge.
However I didn't want pillar pod, so I made up a very nice custom pod the was bolt-on in the ashtray.

I remembered old Camaro with the center console gauges and always like them.

I made only one and today its somewhere in a white camaro.
I used a Nova/camaro Autometer pod.
The angle was perfect , so easy to read the gauge.

I contacted Autometer with my pics and idea and the really seem to like it, but like everything else, they would need to have demand for it to think about production etc.......

Anyways, I really think it would make an awsome alternative for the pillar pod.

Let me know what you think!

They look good and I can see some members using them but I still prefer the pillar pod so I don't have to glance down so much to see the gauge.

Re: Camaro custom gauge pod....

looks good.

ill have to get a few shots of the one i did.. mounts to the bottom of the dash vents..and to the top of the heat/vent control. made from alum. holding 6. 2 5/8 auto meter gauges.finished in a corbon fibre look.

with the top vents removed. and the install of the switch panels..still working on this for spring 2015..
