Rear window louvers; Can rain damage interior?

I found this
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/da...885012701.html
And I am thinking about taking a look at it; but what I'm skeptical about are those louvers. I'm not very familiar with louvers, but Can they let in rain or even moisture? Do they look closed?

The louvers are attached to the OUTSIDE of the glass. No way water will get in. You're fine

they protect the glass from hail and other stuffs plus make the car look badass.Newer muscle cars also have louvers ...the mustangs and camaros also have louvers for the small side windows.

Probably cheap for a reason...considering it's in MN and was abandoned, I'd have to assume it has some pretty serious rust issues. Also doesn't come with a title for that price.
