Hey guys, I was gonna place an order on ebay for some of the big plastic interior screws for the rear cargo area, and I see some sets have 6 and some have 8. Are different years (or maybe convertibles?) different? MY car is a 89 Ttop. ....I can of course go home and count, but I'm at work now, and really wanted to get em shipping so they'll be here for next weekend.

Not a huge deal, but I figured I'd ask!

It all comes down to your rear seat belts. If you have the shoulder restraint, then you need the 8 count set. If you only have lap belts in the rear, then you only need 6. IIRC, the shoulder restraints started in '89 but I could be wrong.

 

Cool. Thanks. ....my 89 DOES have shoulder belts, and I think 89 was the first year. Could be wrong.

 

I think we are correct in that the rear shoulder belts started in '89. I remember my '88 Formula did not have them and I wanted them so I grabbed a set from an '89 TA at the junk yard.
