84 Bird outer AC Vents - how to remove
I am trying to take out the outside square ac vents - I cannot find any info on how to do it. Can anyone help me out? thx byron

The outer square does not come out. The two swiveling diffusers do. They have a plastic pivot pin on each side that fits in an indent in the plastic frame. Take a palette or putty knife and slide in between the diffuser and the frame to release the pivot pin. may have to do both sides at the same time, been several years since I replaced mine. There is a thin plastic shim between the two parts also if I remember right.

Thank you for your response. Due to filthy Ac tubes, I took out the entire dash to clean. Was able to take apart. Where are you located in MN? Thx .. Byron
