Looking for a pair of Original GM Dove Gray Front Floor Mats for my 85 TA, with the GM logo.
Would like them to be in good to very good condition.

Your welcome Bob, send them a email and ask if their the molded type.IIRC I think I paid about half that for just the rubber emblems.

 

They are listed as "Flat Front Floor Mats" I'm wondering if they mean that the bottoms are smooth like the originals were.I say that because I bought a pair from I think Rock Auto and the bottoms had the spiky grips on them.

 

I'll contact them; I really don't care about the spikes on them, just the formed with the GM emblems.

 

I got a set of Tan ones with thje GM emblems that I fabric spray dyed, it looks pretty good; just want some new ones. I threw my Original 88 GTA ones out in the trash about 15 years ago. What a mistake!!!!! Ya learn!! I now need them for the 88 and 85 T/A's

 

Those are not factory 3rdgen floor mats. Those are "general replacement" floor mats. The image is not simply a "representation of the product, and the actual product may differ;" the image represents the actual product, which is obviously not specifically for a 3rdgen.

Also, Dove Grey is not a factory 3rdgen color. Dove Grey is the aftermarket replacement color for Medium Dark Grey. It's considered the best color-match on the aftermarket, so it's the "correct" replacement color for Medium Dark Grey.

I got mine from RocAuto,they are molded but they don't have the GM Logo.I bought the logos from a member here(funny,they where Gray) and I painted them Carmine.

I don't remember the originals being molded.

 

Here are some pics I just took of my originals. The drivers side is pretty much flat but the passenger side does appear to have a contoured shape. Not sure if that's how it came or if the shape developed over the years as it layed over that cat hump. Unfortunately time has taken its toll on the back sides and I only use them for cars shows. I'm interested to see what Bob's experience is with the replicas.

 

Correct on the pass side being molded. Driver was pretty flat.
