1983 Daytona Pace Car carpet

Can anyone tell me please what is the color of a 1983 Daytona Pace car carpet and where can I buy one. After 33 years our cars carpet needs replacing but its condition is such that I am unsure of its original color.
Thank you for your consideration, Tony

Look under the rear seats, should be original color there, no fading. ACC supplies most of the replacement carpet through various suppliers - 1A Auto, Summit, Classic Industries. Any of them will send you samples.

You should have a tag on the radiator support,it will list your trim color. IIRC the carpet and trim would be the same color code.

Should be 22B or C, Dark Royal Blue for the White Pace car I believe.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, thank you for your message, I have asked Classic industries and A1 Auto but not summit I now have a collection of samples coming from SMS Leather products who supplied the Upholstery for the rest of the car that I can match, I will check the radiator.

Thanks again
Tony

The 1983 DT500 has the Medium Sand Gray Interior (Code 60).

Hello Simo,

Thank you very much we thought it the medium sand grey but were unsure and certainly did not know the code, you have confirmed my thoughts. The next question is as you are no doubt aware our carpets have inserts that are different in shape to the usual and was wondering if you know where to get the carpet from.

Thank you

Regards Tony

Haven't had to buy any carpet for my cars since 1985, so I haven't researched it since then.
Yes I know the rubber pads in the drivers foot well are different from later cars.
I purchased an aftermarket carpet and the pads were different so then I purchased new GM carpet for my first 5-Speed back in 1985.

Thank you for that, looks like it will be an aftermarket carpet for our car then and maybe alter the inserts. I want to keep the car as original as possible. Thank you again. Tony
