Re: Trans am gta center consle trim

Hi Brian
I had a similar issue on my 88 GTA, and I took it out, which is only a 10 minute job, put it on the bench, got a heat gun on it, and then secured it from the inside under the top plate, and it looks 97% as good as new
Not a hard or long job, but just a bit fiddly
Hope that helps

And Gorilla Glue. Worked like a champ. Let it set up for 24 hours before removing clamps.

Yeah, a common failure with the late Firebird console.

I too need to follow Bob88GTA's lead and do this repair on mine. It's not bad yet, but it's not right, either.

I wanna do it to make the interior look better. Its fairly good condition, just minor issues such as the center consle

I also used the glue method. Works great and is really cheap. Hard to find a solid console.
