I have a 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula and I would like to find out what the name of the interior color is. If someone could guide me to how I can find this information that would be great!

It's not Medium Dark Gray nor is it black, How can I confirm in writing that the color is Camel?
Re: 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula
Is it tan, beige, yellowish brown, like the color of a camel in spring time? The only colors offered on the later Firebirds are grey, black, or tan. "Camel" is just the marketing term Pontiac used in 1991.
Do you have a decal with a bunch of 3 letter/number codes, in the center console or the locking glove box in the trunk area? If so, the last line at the bottom, the last 3 digit code is for the interior.

Re: 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula
Its similar to a camel color. I am looking to buy new seats for the car from either hawks or classic industries but they refer to the colors as codes such U404 - something. Is it Doeskin? Can I post pictures the seats on this page just to show you what I am looking at?
Re: 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula
Those sound like aftermarket interior codes. GM color codes are three digits, the first two are the color code, third digit differentiates specific parts.
19C - Black Cloth
66C - Camel Cloth
82C - Med Dk Gray
One book I have handy refers to 66C - "Camel" also as 66C "Beechwood"
However, the aftermarket likes to be different, so they use their own codes and names. Ultimately most of them aren't using the GM Pallex cloth anyway, they're using something that sorta kinda not really looks remotely like the real thing, in whatever color they think matches the closest. If you contact the vendor, you should be able to request a color sample before you order.
The only reproduction seat upholstery using Pallex is made by PUI, and carried by Classic Industries. Try this link - https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...008800120.html

WOW, I had no idea anyone was making reproducing seats in the correct Pallex material! Good to know, everything else I've seen looks terrible. Too bad they don't do covers for Ultima seats though.

Now this is just conjecture, so don't take it as fact.... But it looks to me like PUI got into Pallex for the Grand National market and spilled over into Firebird upholstery. I haven't seen their Firebird seats in person, so I can't comment on how accurate their Pallex is. The image I linked above, for example, makes it look like the center and bolsters are different. I'm not sure if that's because it's an artist's rendition (Photoshopped) based on the two tone seats they offer for earlier years, or the orientation of the cloth, or something else. Hopefully when someone orders the PUI upholster we'll see some pics of the real deal installed.
Ultima seats add another level of complexity. Some were upholstered in Pallex, and some were Metrix. Pallex is a diamond pattern, while Metrix is kind of a wavy horizontal line pattern. I'm not sure if PUI offers upholstery for the Ultimas or not, but I thought I saw them on Classic Industries page, just have to wade through all the Acme Encore Velour Prestige Vinyl crapola to find them.
