I have a 1987 IROC with a nice interior but the light grey seat covers are a bit faded. I think they are polyester? Any way to dye them to darken them up a bit?

 

 

I've tried dyeing the Red seats in my '91 RS, but they just don't seem to want to take any color. Had great results dyeing the carpet in the same car though, but the seats just want to stay faded for some reason. I used Corvette America 1977-81 Red in an aerosol can, which is a very close match to my car's interior.

Also tried dyeing the Gray seats in my '91 T/A with correct color code dye from The Fiero Store with similar results. Just doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

 

Hmm, I've heard similar things on the seats. Too bad, mine are still in nice shape but the gray has become quite light
