There should be several clips that hold the headliner in, there's one the front middle for sure. I ended up just breaking mine off because it was half broken and making a horrible rattling sound on mine. My headliner stays up fine without it, unless you intentionally pull it down right where the clip would be.

Thank you for that, my original one fell apart many years ago, when I put the new one in didn't see any clips.
Just ordered those clips so I can attach them when I go to put it all back together, thank you

Re: Aftermarket headliner missing something?
In most of those plastic/mousefur covered replacements there didn't use
clips. Only the cardboard OE had them.
The re-pops are held up by the visors mounts in the front.
The dome light, seatbelt tensioner bezel, and the rear panel.
Yea they sag in the center.
A couple of well placed trim screw/washer solves that problem.
Been there done that...............

Re: Aftermarket headliner missing something?
That's what I'm suspecting that the plastic one does have the mounts for it, so either I'll epoxy the clips to the plastic backing or I'll cut slices into the plastic to insert the clips
This will be an interesting fix
