Hi all,
I was driving and the odometer kept going up at a very fast rate so I took the gauge cluster apart and took the speedometer out. I was taking the speedometer cover off and I guess I yanked the speedometer cover and it broke the cable thing that attaches to the speedometer arm and I don't know how I'm going to fix it. But when that broke I could access the odometer gears and they all seemed to be fine so I guess the problem is with the transmission piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have no idea how to fix the cable, I'm thinking I might have to get a whole new speedometer gauge. Easy fix. Throw it in the trash, get another one.

You might be able to take or send it to a specialist and have them repair it, but at this point you'd be further ahead to just replace it.

Thank you for your write up,I need to see how to get the cable off the back. The RPM gauge works but the speedometer/odometer/trip gauge is not working.
