the big issue with door panels in thirdgens is there's not a lot of room between the door panel and side of the seat / your legs. a lot of modern door panels are build-out and have recesses for cup holders, handles, speakers, etc... you really only have room to do that in the front half of the door panel in thirdgens. the back half of the door panel kind of needs to stay flat like stock.

It might take a lil bit of trimming here and there but man it would look sooo good in a 3rd gen

Trimming? That door panel is flat out the wrong shape and length. No amount of trimming is going to make that work. I think you could potentially make a set of 3rd gen panels have that look if you make all the raised parts out of fiberglass and then transfer the shiny bits over.
