Question about door handle inner rod

Ok. I have been chasing a right side door handle rod for my passenger door for some time. So I have a question. I got one here and I found one on eBay so I have 2 of the for the passenger door. However, I notice this is the exact same bent rod is used on the driver door. On the driver door the bend faces into the car. On the passenger door, the bend faces outside the door. Is this correct? This is the rod that attaches to the outside door handles and connects to the locking mechanism that goes to the door bolt.
So the same rod is used for both driver and passenger is what I am asking. thanks!

Re: Question about door handle inner rod

I think they're suppose to be mirror images of one another.

Re: Question about door handle inner rod

Glad to help. I never thought the linkage would work on the opposite side.It always looks like it would contact the glass when you roll the window up.
