Digital dash swap
Digital dash swap
Hello All,
I have a 92 formula that I would like to put the digital GTA dash in. A couple questions. Has anyone done this in cars that did not have digital originally and if so how did it work? Is it even possible? Are they a headache to have? Also My car is a very low milage car and I don't want to do anything to kill the value. I just love the digital dash and always have. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated. Or links to articles where it has been done if there are any.

Re: Digital dash swap
Changing parts like that is not going to help the value.
The easiest way is to get a complete harness/dash/radio pod/HVAC system from another car and swap it all in.

I can tell you from experience. Just buy a swap car. Also if low mile, OE, resale value is your thing. Stop right there, and sell it. Buy a GTA or TA DIgital car.

Re: Digital dash swap
I can tell you that to have all the functions of the dash to work you will need the entire wire harness from the donor car. When my GTA frame rotted I swapped everything over to another body and it was time consuming. The other issue is there is no support for the digital dash as it ages it is almost impossible to find parts for repair. I love mine but dont think its worth all the work for old equipment. I would buy a new digital conversion from someone first
