Finally got ‘em “good enough for rock n roll” today. Used 4th gen seat rails and a mix of angle iron and flat stock to bolt them up. Sliders work.
I plan to retrofit the trim and all when I replace the carpet, as that’s the next time they’ll be out.
Here are some tips for anyone looking to replicate:
-You’ll have to saw off about half of the recline lever stud. Also the recline lever on the seats will not fit. The side/trim stuff for the seats will though. The lever itself is just too wide and hits the lower seatbelt retractor.
-these seats are pretty heavy.
-they’re much easier to put in with the t-tops OUT.
-you’ll have to make your own recline lever(s)
-they sit a little higher than factory seats, I think a person over 6’ might not like these.
They’re super comfortable and have good bolstering though, I recommend it!
