I suppose if you were a bit more specific about just what you're looking for out of the seat, we could answer better.

Stock thirdgen seats are flat enough that large people can be pretty comfortable. Corbeau makes wide versions of a lot of their seats. I'm a big guy (240lbs) and I fit beautifully into my flo fit seats. Tom Keliher is a big guy, and he had those seats also.

I am a big fat man myself. 6' 240LBS. I like my stock seats ok. Fourth gen leather is also very comfortable.

I fit in the stock third gen seats fine. But I would perfer the seats like the corbeau seats. I was at the local speed shop a cople of moths ago, and I sat in a fiberglass racing seat and it was a little tite . i told the guy I would need a biger one, he said its the x-large one allreddy (I weigh around 350).

if you're that big, you're probably going to have a hard time being comfortable in any seat that's got deep side bolsters. Try to find an oversized Corbeau and see what you think. I'm 240 (5'9") and they were too big for me. The oversized corbeau sport seats are substantially wider than any sized racing seat.

thanks for the info! I geuss I'll try one of the wide seats and go form there. If the dosen't work, I'll have to see if I can fit a bench seat in there!

wow, im 6" 150 lbs, you could fit like two of me in one seat, anyway a bench could work, youd reall just have to chop your center console up and find some from another rwd car (tranny tunnel) that fit, id be odd but cool if someone did this, also try looking at bucket seats without bolsters like you would find in 1st gens or chevelles

I know a guy bigger than that with a 4th gen TA. He says he's comfy in that style seat. Try the 4th gen seat swap first.

heh, one of the project cars I'd like to do is find an old 2nd gen Camaro (either LT or Berlinetta) that came with out the center console

That's what I said. They should get the 4th gen seats. That is what I am going to do.

I have the Corbeau CR1 Wide Version with Power Lumbar in my GTA.

They fit quite well. I just need to move the mounting point a little on their brackets.

In addition I ordered their 4 pt harness. All in all I am very pleased.

I am attaching one pic and a link to my website with more pics of the interior.

Get 4th gen power seats. They slide back about 2-3" more than manual thirdgen seats

The Corbeau's go back quite far on the supplied tracks. I need to get up pretty close to reach the pedals and I am 5'11"

The only thing weak about 4th gen seats is the lack of needed support.. IMHO

Adjustables

I was a passenger in a VANILA SKY type accident. I didn't get too hurt, but iwas beat up. that's why I sold my 5-speed and got a 700-R. With two buldge Discs in my back, I quickly feel in love with my 8-or-so point adjustable stock 1990 Fornula seats. The ride is way more comfortable compared to my buddies non-adjustable stock 1989 Formulas seats. Ofcourse I'll re-position the seat occasionally due to the back problem.

I doubt that... I'm pretty sure I win the "cram your fat *** into a thirdgen" contest. I'm 6'8 and around 400.

That's a HUGE bitch!

What size waist do you wear? If you are 6'8 the 400 won't look so bad as if you were 6'0 300.

How did you hook up the power lumbar?? I don't see any switches on the sides of the seats.

I have a friend who is in the 5'10-6'0 range and weighs 380, he has already had major knee surgery. I am still curious about this 6'8 guy, I have trouble finding room in the car and he is 4 inches taller than 1. I don't feel so bad for being a "bigger" guy and squeezing into a camaro now that I know I'm not alone.

big bastard check in...lol

6'4", 3XX.

I have 97 Z28 seats in my iroc on my stock 87 power rails. Goes back a lot farther and sits about an inch lower than the 4th gen rails. I still wouldn't mind something that goes back a bit farther yet, but i haven't found anything. Someone at one point suggested using fiero rails at one point. I've been meaning to get my hands on a set :lala:
