I am upgrading the radio in my 89 IROC and have been looking at steering wheels with built-in controls for the radio and hands-free. Anyone on here done a 5th or 6th gen camaro steering wheel swap with 3rd gen?

 

Don't think it's possible. On 5th an 6th Gens all those controls and functions go thru the BCM.
And on a personal note, my 91 TA doesnt have steering wheel radio controls, but my 94 TA does......and as close as the radio is to my right hand while driving, i rarely, if ever, use the steering wheel controls.
Seems like a waste of effort.....

 

given I have a touch screen radio and it will mostly be using Apple Car play and hands-free I was honestly hoping just to use controls on the steering wheel
