Custom seat brackets?

Hey everyone!

I have a ‘82 Camaro z28. I’m 6’7” and using the factory electric seat was putting my head into the T-tops. I was able to sit in a manual seat rail version of my car and was able to get good clearance but the best clearance with bucket seats on the manual rails. I snagged some seats that are low profile but now I need some ideas on bolting them to my floor. My factory bolts are 13” apart (center to center) and my seats are 16” apart for the mounting holes. Is there a safe way to get both to work? I’m open to all options, I’m just limited on some thing due to my height.

Hawks sells seat bracket extenders. Assuming you need more leg room.

Get a set of 4th gen manual rails, the 4th gen seats sit a bit lower and I think that comes down to how the rails are maid, plus they're a direct bolt in. I'd try that with a set of nice 3rd or 4th gen seats (or bolt them up to the ones you have, just may need to make some brackets to bolt them up.

I have a set of these extenders and they are great. I didnt put them on the passenger side so other non vertically superior people dont feel like the window is miles away
