A Pillar Trim Pieces..Possible fix...

A Pillar Trim Pieces..Possible fix...

So, as expected, pulling off a-pillar trim piece usually the " christmas tree" or similar clips break..No huge deal...unless the plastic they slide into also breaks, then youre screwed....So, I'm in process to figure a remedy...Thinking about JB Welding a bottled beer cap to trim piece in areas that need a clip...Then using tin snips to cut sides of cap into segments...This would allow to fold metal sides and sandwich the clip in, with a tad of slide-ability...Going to attach my ver.1 idea...I'm aware, super rough, but understand concept, and thin profile..The "grab/retain strength is pretty good...

Ok,
ver.2.0...cut square stock( unsure of gauge, but similar to hvac grade...If i can JB weld, This could work..Can paint black, slide-able, removable...
