My son & I are 6'4" & 6'7" so seating comfort was a primary goal of our restoration. I bought a set of Braum racing seats, deleted the back seats and moved the front seats back 4" with a new base welded in. I went to try out my "new seats" and found my head sticking out the T-top like Dino the Dinosaur. I cried while grinding out my welded in bases, recognizing the back of the seats needed to drop by 4". Sub frame connectors were already installed so had to integrate into the new lowered floor for the rev 2 seat frame to be welded in place. Passenger side ready for paint. Pictures of my pain are attached. Floor cut out, new seat frame tack welded in. Lowered floor welded in place (Looking towards passenger rear wheel) Passenger lowered floor welded in (looking towards rear of vehicle) Close up, new seat frame integrated with sub frame connector. Tunnel sheet metal had to be moved to allow seat to slide all the was back.
