Hole in Dash

Well, I'm going through the 85 Iroc I just purchased. Car has been sitting since 2008. The guy i bought it off of, bought it and parked it. Didn't know too much about it.
Well there was a Iroc sticker stuck on the dash. I removed it to find a hole in the dash !! I would say the only way to repair this is to replace the dash.

Thanks

Pete

Re: Hole in Dash

Find a broken dash and cut i small piece big enough to match the hole (w/ no gaps). It should blend in quite well being under the vents, that area doesn't get much light or attention.

Thanks. I was thinking of using this. Cut it out this size and snap it in

For $20 I’ll try and see. I don’t think their dimensions are right.

Re: Hole in Dash

The OBD filler plate is a good idea to fill a hole, but any repair of that area is going to be obvious, just like the logo that was there before. Why not just put a logo back over it?

Or sticK a cell phone mount over it. Cant make it much worse by covering it with anything.

I know. I’m **** about things. Can’t believe someone did that. It’s a big job to rip out the dash. Ugh.

If you mean the emblem, that's over by the pass vents. This is right under the center vents.
