Coil spring for front seat belt?

Is it possible to find the coil for a front seat belt without paying hawks 300 dollars for the entire seat belt? The coils in both of mine slipped out and while I was successful in carefully resetting the drivers side, I screwed up on the passenger side and it sprung out. The local junk yards dont have third gens anymore and I can't find anything online but the entire setup. Is that coil part something that is the same in another car maybe? Or maybe something I could get if I knew the part number?

Re: Coil spring for front seat belt?

I might be able to come up with some old belts that you can steal the coils from. Are the coils you need for the driver and pass side the same ?? ( Meaning: If I find 2 pass belts,.. does that help ?? )

Do you need the upper and lower assembly ?? For both sides ?? Does the color of the belt matter ??

I'll start digging around to check to see exactly what I've got after I hear back from you.

I appreciate you checking! Color shouldn't matter, and I'm not sure if side matters or not but it is a black passenger side I need. Basically on the side there is a plastic cover that houses the coiled spring. I'm pretty sure I can carefully transfer an unsprung coil from one seatbelt housing to another if I could get my hands on one so condition, color, and hopefully seat side, shouldn't matter.

Re: Coil spring for front seat belt?

I found a red passenger side belt,.... The "inertia" lock seems to work fine on both the upper and lower belt retractor too. ( hold level the belt will pull out,... hold at an angle and the belt can't be pulled out. )

Do you have a seat belt receiver in that color?
