1985 Trans Am. Looking for front mats but they are $260 USD from Hawks. Any more budget friendly options?

 

I picked these up for about $20 at Canadian Tire on clearance. I'm sure an auto parts or hardware store in your area would have something that you could trim to fit.

The rock auto ACC cut pile is the closest to OEM as well and are a great deal. Also, if you really want to color match ACC might still send samples to pick exact color. To make them truly look OEM just add 2 GM mark of excellence stamps and they look original.

Most aftermarket mats for these cars do not fit right in outside of the ACC or maybe LLoyds,

 

I think I got mine from RockAuto, but it may have been automotiveinteriors.com ...

where can you obtain GM mark of excellence stamps?

 

Rock Auto or ACC (not sure what one) actually used a members mats to get a precise measurement especially for the passenger side .The fit is very good the only thing is the
back of the mats have little grippers where ours don't. and they don't come with the GM chic let ,so save yours and glue them on to the new onesI highly recommend Rock Auto.

I have the original floor mats for my 1984 Trans AM. Colour if royal blue. The nibs on the driver's side mat are gone.
Many years ago, I purchased a full set of lighter grey "pants saver" floor mats for a 1990 Bonneville. I still have them.
I placed these mats in the front & they colour blends with the interior. Works for me.

 

You might find someone on here in the " INTERIOR PARTS FOR SALE " or place a ad on " INTERIOR PARTS WANTED"

I've got an 87 GTA in the tan interior. Whats the best colour match for floor mats from Rock Auto?

 

I would go to the ACC carpet website and get some color samples, they will send you a bunch and pick the best match as overtime the rest of the interior has faded etc.

I did that and got a pretty good match for my grey interior.
