Water leaking into cabin from under dashboard
Water leaking into cabin from under dashboard
Hi. I had my camaro ( 1983 z28 ) for a few months now and recently got the ac fixed, i live in florida and its very hot here!. As soon as i got the ac fixed and started using it, water started accomulating under the passenger carpet. I removed some screws and realized is coming from "the heater core module" ? (correct me if im wrong ) Im stuck now and dont know what would be the next step. I was wondering if anyone can help me, im not much of a car person but trying to learn. I have a haynes repair manual but wasnt much of a help. Attached is a video i uploaded showing the leak. Thank you in advance..

There's a drain tube from the EVAP core box to allow the condensation to drain. If it's leaking with the AC running, then that's the source. They may not have hooked it up correctly, or it's blocked with debris

PO- it is likely the drain as EDGE mentioned however, I would simply pull some of these panels and get my eyes on it to be sure. The haynes and chilton manuals are garbage. Get a factory service manual (slightly less garbage) - and do some searching here. Lots of good info, pics, and videos. Every issue that these cars can experience have already been documented somewhere.
